Week 104: Snowflakes

Me at the service stripping a Christmas tree of its lights

Portia, a girl we have been teaching from Elder Cockett's hometown, said she would be baptized this week! We contacted the sister missionaries in her area and they were excited! It is funny because we have smartphones while they have paper. Anyway, they ended up going to her house that night and saying hello. She was a little surprised haha!

We also taught this woman, Leslie, this week. We went with the Ethingtons, mission office staff who live in our area, to teach her. It went well! That was our first real actual lesson in our area this transfer lol.

Oh it snowed tiny little snowflakes this week, but it didn't stick. Chicago had some good snow though.

Yeah and our car got towed because a certain elder said our registration was good, but apparently it wasn't... Luckily I didn't have to pay for it. We had to park on a side street for a day waiting for our vehicle coordinator to get us a pass for our car.

We did some service this week. We helped a family with their yard and moving their sandbags. It rained a lot recently and several people had their basements flooded.
Lots of crickets by the sandbags protecting a house from flooding!
We also helped decorate for a former investigator. One tree had a bunch of burned out lights so we stripped the lights off. There were a lot of lights so that took a long time! We did it though!

That's pretty much the week.
