Week 35: It's the YSA life for me: Transfer 2

Cool pic!

So, Elder Kearl and I picked up our District Leader, Elder Neve, for him to go home and I was outside in the foyer when President said something about a new Elder coming back by train to the mission.... So a new elder may or may not have gone with the departing missionaries for a bit lol..!  Anyway, while waiting for my new companion, I worked in my area with some other missionaries and it was good! We got a referral!

We had a meeting over Skype that day, too, because Elder Bingham is the district leader. Yay for Skype! We didn't need to drive an hour round trip because of it :)

I talked to an elder who was at transfers about a less active member that on his records said to ask this elder about him 1.5 years ago, and, later, we contacted him and he had just moved out of a bad situation, so we taught him at his new apartment, and he should be coming to institute this Thursday! Not to church last Sunday due to work, but the next one, hopefully!

A lot of Young Single Adults (YSAs) are really busy and that is the hard part for focusing on them.

Yeah, not much else happened this week. A lot of thunderstorms happened and we got drenched in the few seconds that we went from a doorstep to our car from an investigator's home. That was crazy, actually. We were talking to the investigator woman on her doorstep and it started raining hard and then BANG! The thunder sounded like it was right there! Anyway, we had to drop her because she is actually in her 50s and she doesn't want to learn from people under 20...

We are also changing apartment and looked for some today. That was interesting and I learned some things about renting a place where the people have to move and move in lots.

Oh and we had a pretty cool Sacrament Meeting yesterday! The president of Joliet Stake came and he and his wife both talked. One thing the President talked about was that blessings are given to you when you are where you need to be, but they are constrained or restricted when you are not where you are supposed to be. Think about that.

Also, many people came from the other wards and we found out they had Linger Longer that day, too.

Also, we have great members!

Anyway, I know that Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are 3 different personages who are one, or perfectly unified. I know that Heavenly Father wants what is best for us, His children. I also know that Jesus Christ, under the direction of Heavenly Father, created this world. I know that all the ordinances needed to reach our highest potential are available to us through the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints through the proper authorities. I know the Book of Mormon is the Word of God and is TRUE. The way to know it is through asking God, the Eternal Father himself and listening to him through God, the Holy Ghost. I say these thing in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Love,
Elder Kloosterboer
